5.0 out of 5 stars Adorable, engaging story! Lucas discovers there is more to learn in school than reading, writing and arithmetic!, January 23, 2015
By Kindle Customer
This review is from: Lucas's Locker: Social Skills Story (Kindle Edition)
Lucas's Locker is an adorable story featuring Lucas (the cat) as he navigates his way through the first day of first grade. He gets frustrated when he can't figure out how to fit all of his precious belongings into his tiny locker. With a little help and guidance from his teacher, he learns that it's okay to ask for help when you need it and that there are better solutions to problems than getting frustrated and angry. This book is targeted at the Pre-K-2nd grade audience. Although some children may be able to read this book on their own, I think it's a wonderful book for parents and teachers to read with children. It will help to open up some good discussions about the first day of school, how to ask for help, managing frustration and anger and ultimately how to become more self-sufficient.

5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Can You Hear Me? Can You series Book 1
The pictures of the farm animals will be appealing to children. It also helps children learn the sounds of the animals. A good read aloud book. Kids will also enjoy making the animal sounds themselves while reading.

5 stars Take Flight or Stay?
By Tyrean Martinson "Tyrean" Author on February 27, 2015
Emotionally-charged, this flash fiction fantasy tale focuses on a decision to go, or to stay, to take flight, or to nest. Both possibilities are dangerous, both offer safety. What will the characters do?
It reads like a prose-poem and a story all at once, but I found myself wanting just a little more of the main character.
